  • Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh says:

The bottles look good and the price is right; this is a good regular red. It's made by the team at Shingleback Winery. It's not for cellaring and it's not complicated, but it is a satisfying drop of red wine. It has a good slip of raspberried, blackberried flavour, and it leaves a toasty, almost bourbon-like taste in your mouth - a good thing. Watch yourself, though - this is easy to hook into.

Campbell Mattinson & Gary Walsh (2008 Vintage) says:

The bottles look good and the price is right; this is a good regular red made by the Shingleback Winery team. The reliability of these wines is phenomenal. Regardless of the season, they seem to get them tasting remarkably similar year on year - in a good way. This one carries a lovely ball of sweet, jammy, liquoricey flavour before trailing off through the finish. Forget the score, it's good value and good drinking. Quaff on - as they say
