  • This bonny little savvy is certainly a tropical number, with truck-loads of passionfruit, grassiness, melons and lemon citrus winding up the nasal passages before pouring onto the light-bodied, crisp palate. It's all wrapped up in racy acidity and a dry, fruity finish that is bound to satisfy with a slight chill on a warm day.

  • Nick Stock (2012 Vintage) says:

A well-made rendition of this classic, proven region and variety combination, the core premise for wine made under this label. There s plenty of tropical fruits, melon and passionfruit, some citrus here too, nicely captured. The palate has bright, crunchy appeal, lovely tropical fruit flavours roll smoothly through, crisp and fresh.

    Jeremy Oliver (2012 Vintage) says:

Restrained and stylish, with plenty of varietal definaition. Lightly herbaceous, with chalky aromas of gooseberries, cassis and passionfruit, it's long and lively, with a fine dusty backbone and a lingering, faintly mineral finish of refreshing acidity.

    Jeremy Oliver (2011 Vintage) says:

Uncomplicated, fresh and juicy, this fruit-driven sauvignon blanc presents lively flavours of gooseberries, lychees and passionfruit backed by dusty herbal notes and a hint of capsicum. Underpinned by a fine chalkiness, it's smooth and elegant, finishing with true persistence and refreshingly bright acidity.

    James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says:

Has very good texture and structure built around a core of minerally acidity; the aromas and flavours extend from grassy notes through to passionfruit. A massive leap up from the varietal. 70% Adelaide Hills

    James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says:

Very austere and certainly bone dry; not particularly varietal, but clean and well made.

    Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008

    Nick Stock (2007 Vintage) says:

This label stretches the reserve concept away from the traditional idea, but the wine is a steady performer. Plenty of bright passionfruity tropical aromas, appealing aromatic lift. The palate is crisp and bright, citrus and more tropicals, balanced crisp finish.

Good Australian Wine Guide 2009 2008

    James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says:

Clean and highly aromatic; exceptionally rich and tropical, yet not heavy. Adelaide Hills/Limestone Coast 50/50.
