      • Here's a cab sav out of a preferred region for the variety from an excellent vintage - it's value on a stick! Medium-bodied in style, it's a smooth, easy drinking wine that shows smells of dark fruits, After Eight mints and toasted cedar on the nose. The palate is soft and slinky, with dark plummy flavours slithering along the tongue supported by fine tannins and a sweetly fruited finish. Juicy hamburger here we come - with extra cheese!

      • Grapes for the LINDEMANS Reserve Padthaway Cabernet Sauvignon are picked while the temperatures are cool, resulting in fruit with good varietal definition and balanced flavors. This wine was aged for 13 months in American oak to add complexity to the blend, while maintaining its fresh fruit focus.

The LINDEMANS Reserve Padthaway Cabernet Sauvignon begins with classic mint and red berry fruit aromas, with hints of oak and earthiness. This full-bodied wine has pronounced sweet berry fruit on the palate, with fine-grained tannins contributing to the long finish.
      • Nick Stock (2006 Vintage) says:

Colour:This sits at the base level of quality Australian wine, regionally labelled and a heck of a lot closer to actual wine in character than the basic Lindemans Bin Series wines - well worth the trade up! This has attractive, bright berries and gentle regional mint, really appealing fruit on show, some brooding dark aromas too. Palate:The palate's even and elegant, just like Coonawarra should be, finishing with gentle, grippy cabernet tannin.

The Penguin Good Australian Wine Guide 2010 2009

        James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says:

Fresh and vibrant, with strong varietal cabernet fruit framed by quite toasty oak character; surprisingly long and firm, this wine offers terrific value for money.

        Australian Wine Companion 2010 2009

        Campbell Mattinson (2005 Vintage) says:

2005 RELEASE Almost too serious for the price. Flavours of eucalypt, earth, dust and tobacco, matched to smoky blackcurrant. It's like a mini Lindemans St George cabernet, complete with a pile of drying tannin. Lip-smacking finish. It will be a better drink in a year's time, DRINK 2009-2011.

The Big Red Wine Book 2008

        James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says:

Entirely fruit-driven; soft, juicy, ripe blackcurrant and mulberry fruits; ready right now.

        Australian Wine Companion 2007 2006

        James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says:

Medium red-purple; savoury, earthy cabernet varietal fruit comes through strongly on the bouquet, flowing through to the bright cassis/blackcurrant fruit of the palate, which has good length and structure. By far the best of the Reserve Padthaway releases from 1999 and 2000.
