2011 ArtWine Riesling
2012 Fire Block Clare Valley Riesling
- We love top-notch Clare Valley Riesling here at Cracka and this is a blinder showing all the cool climate personality of the 2011 Clare Valley Summer. Lashing of vibrant citrus fruit flavour finishing crisp, bright and long – a Summer drinking special for sure. Go long. 100
- The 2011 Riesling is a dry classic Clare Valley Riesling showing an abundance of lemons and limes and lively acidity with a touch of honeysuckle giving mouth watering flavours. Match with anything from fish to poultry, pork, veal or cheese or simply drink on its own!
James Halliday says:“
The back label explains that ArtWine specialises in estate-grown alternative varieties, which makes this a very obvious exception. This, I suspect, will be one of many Clare Valley rieslings that enjoyed the cool, wet vintage, for it is classically pure. The bouquet and palate have clearly defined lime, lemon and a touch of ripe apple aromas and flavours. The line, length and balance are impeccable. Made by Joanne Irvine, this wine will still be full of life 10 years from now.

James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says:“
Light straw-green; the 18 months in bottle, plus some skin contact, introduce layers of complexity, with spiced lime fruit and highly unusual touches of honeysuckle. Demands to be drunk soon.Australian Wine Companion 2012 201192
