2004 Henry's Drive Reserve Shiraz

Expert Reviews

James Halliday (2010 Vintage) says
Deep, dark purple-red; a full-bodied Shiraz from the word go, charged with black fruits, dark chocolate, earth, licorice and oak; legs on the side of the glass are unusually obvious too.

WINESTATE (2008 Vintage) says
Nice herbal/eucalypt lift to the fruity nose. Lots of chocolaty oak on the plummy palate and lingering tannins.
WINESTATE Volume 34 (2011)
WINESTATE (2007 Vintage) says
Dense, warm, chocolaty nose and delightfully fleshy, earthy and flavoursome blue fruit palate.
James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
A deep, dark and concentrated shiraz; mulberry and fruitcake layered by toasty oak; medium-bodied, vibrant, juicy and fine on the long and ample finish.
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
WINESTATE (2006 Vintage) says
Big, oaky, vanillin lift to the nose and a solid, full-bodied palate packed with ripe fruit and sweet oak and well supported by the tannins.
Winestate 20082009
James Halliday (2005 Vintage) says
Abundant fruit and oak intermingle, the oak giving an overall impression of sweetness. Crowd pleaser.
Australian Wine Companion 2009 2008
WINESTATE (2005 Vintage) says
Complex, intense red berry bouquet complemented by classy spicy oak. Beautifully balanced, deep, rich, sweet palate with lip-smacking flavours that linger long after the wine has gone.
November/December 2007 2007
James Halliday (2003 Vintage) says
Powerful blackberry, licorice and dark chocolate fruit; fractionally sharp tannins; will evolve.
Australian Wine Companion 2006 2005
James Halliday (2000 Vintage) says
Medium to full red-purple; a massively powerful and concentrated bouquet with earthy/dark berry fruit and lots of oak; the fruit on the palate appears even riper than that in the standard varietal with flavours of plum, prune and chocolate. Was a silver medal winner at the 2001 Limestone Coast Wine Show, the gold medal going to the varietal version.
