2007 Smidge Barossa The Tardy Zinfandel

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

This 2007 Smidge 'The Tardy" Barossa Zinfandel is the passion project of Two Hands head winemaker Matt Wenk. Named after Matt's creative approach to timekeeping, this Barossan powerhouse of a wine is unapologetically massive - it ain't no wallflower!

Matt's 5th release of the The Tardy was made in tiny quantities. It has oodles of black plum, raisin and spice wrapped in a framework of soft tannin. Delicious on its own or with food, this rich drop is all about hedonistic drinking.

Winemaker's Notes

Named in honour of Matt's reputation for time keeping, The Tardy was the original label and wine that launched the Smidge venture. In 2001, Matt found an outstanding source of Zin grapes, and indulged his passion for the variety making a handful of barrels.
