2008 Umamu Estate Margaret River Cabernet Merlot

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Here's a cracker of a cab merlot blend out of the Margaret River that is at a good price for the quality of the contents of the bottle. Think cedary bottle aged goodness, fine tannins and a nicely resolved palate. It's quite sophisticated actually, a red best drunk with something meaty.

Winemaker's Notes

Appearance: Medium plum with magenta notes, youthful

Nose: Fresh with good intensity, toast and berry notes, dark chocolate notes

Palate: Smooth and mellow with lovely mouth feel. Nice palate weight with medium to fine tannins and good length. Some berry flavours with hints of chocolate biscuit

Varietal: 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc
