2010 Hungerford Hill Collection Series Hunter Shiraz

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Here we have a fruity, slips-down-easy shiraz from Hungerford Hill that could cellar for a couple of years, or be great with some black bean pork tonight. Smells of red and black fruits waft out of the glass, along with hits of exotic spice and earthiness. The palate is more medium-bodied and elegant, with spiced dark cherry flavours, friendly tannins, and a succulent fruit and savoury finish that just keeps on truckin' through the back palate.

Winemaker's Notes

Deep red with purple hues, this youthful offering has bright positive fruit, abundant raspberry and strawberry along with spice, herbal and peppery elements. Light to medium bodied in structure with soft tannins and good balance between the fruit flavours and delicate acid signature, ensuring a refreshing and long finish. A wine to drink now, but its balance and pedigree will ensure a 5 plus year cellaring potential.
