Sourced from a tiny, ultra-boutique, frost-prone vineyard high in the Macedon Ranges that is planted exclusively to Pinot Noir, the 2010 was given A-grade treatment from the start - handpicked, cold-soaked, wild fermented and foot stomped before 12 months in the finest French oak.
Appearance:The colour is garnet red with stunning clarity and light.
Nose:This vintage expresses the nuance of European spice from new French Oak and exhibits a little Burgundian earthiness with aromas of bright red fruit, strawberry and cherry.
Palate: It has a supple and soft long palate and expresses the delicate balance of French oak and silky tannins. Estate grown exclusively the ancient MV6 clone, handpicked then cold soaked prior to fermentation in small stainless open fermenters, foot stomped and hand plunged racked off into new French oak including Taransaud for at least 12 months.
