James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
Developed red-purple hue; the very low yield (not muck over 1 tonne per acre) and harvest in May might have been expected to produce a wine capable of handling a lot of oak. I donÕt know how long the wine spent in oak, or its composition, but less would have been better. A carping carping criticism of a wine that was nearly very good.

James Halliday (2007 Vintage) says
Showing some leathery development, cassis and a splash of eucalypt; the palate is full-bodied, dark and full of chewy black fruit and tannin; big framed, and very dry on the finish.

Good fruit and focus; slightly simple and essency cassis and black currant, but with good flavour and length. Cabernet Sauvignon. Cork.

Voluminous dark fruits; blackcurrant and chocolate; lots of tannins; age-worthy.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Attractive red and blackcurrant fruit aromas; light to medium-bodied; clean, supple and fresh; totally appealing. The yield said to be restricted to just under 1 tonne per hectare by careful pruning.
