Cracka Review

Maceon Ranges Shiraz is often accused of being lightweight and skinny. But not this one! Laden with plummy fruit, a liberal dash of black pepper and then fine tannins, this has elegance and flavour.

Winemaker's Notes

Vaughan Springs Vineyard: Located between Castlemaine and Daylesford, the vineyard is terraced on a steep west facing slope. Stoney ground and thirsty soils host robust vines producing small berries of intense flavours.
Where in the 1850s Chinese goldminers laboured for their fortunes, low cropping vines now toil to produce unique wines expressing their harsh but rewarding location.

2010 Shiraz: Premium handpicked estate grown fruit and the winemaking skills of Llew Knight have produced a smooth, fruit driven Shiraz with berry spice. Matured in French oak.
