2011 Howard Park Museum Release Great Southern Riesling
James Halliday (2011 Vintage) says
Free-run juice was cold-fermented, with Mount Barker and Porongurup components blended for the final product. One sure foot down the golden path to full maturity 2 or 3 years hence; the volume of the fruit bowl has already expanded, juicy citrus now with hints of honey.Drink by 2026
Huon Hooke (2011 Vintage) says
Light to medium yellow colour, the bouquet slightly egg-sulfidey, the palate bright and restrained, exuberantly fruity, lemon, lime and mandarin. Intense and full, softer, rounded and less delicate than some vintages. Beautiful wine. Blossomy.2016 - 2025
Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
A star performer on the Riesling scene in the West. This offers a breathtaking lime and grapefruit citrus nose with hints of yellow nectarine fruit too, really fresh and concentrated. The palate has terrific line and length with powerful grapefruit citrus flavour, really neatly honed, deep and even. A great young wine that will age reliably.
