2011 James Estate Merlot

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

The Upper Hunter Valley is a good alternative to the hustle and bustle of Pokolbin and that’s where James Estate create their magical wines. Merlot might get a bad rap in this country but when we find one we like, then we are compelled to write about it. This has Hunter medium-bodied elegance through and through, supple, bright fruit with just a hint of oak before a soft mouthfeel and long finish. Pair it with lamb ribs for maximum enjoyment.
