expert reviews about
2012 Crabtree Watervale Shiraz
James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Hand-picked grapes, open-fermented, basket-pressed, matured in new and used French barriques for 18 months. Bright crimson-purple; the effusive bouquet has spicy black fruits and neatly integrated oak, a pattern repeated on the vibrant, medium-bodied palate; the fruit flavours have hints of licorice and pepper, and fine tannins mark a particularly good finish.
James Halliday (1999 Vintage) says
Medium purple-red; a clean, smooth and elegant bouquet with neatly counterpoised black cherry and oak is faithfully mirrored on the harmonious and elegant palate.Australian Wine Companion 2003 2002
