Cracka Review

There's plenty of blackcurrant, dark cherries and earthy spices on the nose, whilst the palate is rich and plush, with ripe dark berry flavours, fine tannins, and a sprinkle of dried herbs and savouriness on the easy going finish. Try it with roast meats.

Given the same terroir, the same climate, and shiraz the dominant part of the blend, it is not surprising the wine should have the same tide marks (especially the dark chocolate) as its Shiraz sibling. But, and it's a big but - the cabernet does make its mark with some savoury cassis notes that add to the picture.

Soft and supple with blackberry, sweet/syrupy plums, spice box and choc-cream flavours. As smooth a red as you’ll find. Dusty/rusty tannin completes the picture.

Deep crimson; a poised blue and black-fruited bouquet, offset by a sprinkling of clove; truly medium-bodied, fleshy and lively; this is easy drinking, but has some cellaring future.
