Cracka Review

This offering from James Estate is a delicate and complex Chardonnay, with ripe primary fruit aromas complemented with barrel ferment characters and well integrated oak. Slightly chill it then slurp it down with fettuccine boscaiola!

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
Bright quartz-green; partial barrel fermentation has worked well with the fresh, light-bodied melon and stone fruit flavours; good overall balance.

James Halliday (2001 Vintage) says
Impressive, bright green-yellow; the moderately intense bouquet is clean and fresh, with stone fruit and subtle but evident oak; the palate offers lively, tangy citrus and stone fruit supported by 12 months' maturation in new and l-year-old French and American oak, which does not destroy or threaten the inherent delicacy of the wine. No direct claim of origin.
