    cracka review

From iconic biodynamic producers Jasper Hill comes this rich and elegant style of grenache. Sweet raspberries, redcurrants and dried roses float out of the glass, whilst the palate is full-bodied and juicy, with plenty of red berry flavours, a fine line of tannins, and a sweet spice finish. Great with tomatoey meat dishes.

    James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
Plenty of depth to the colour; a spiced, poached plum bouquet leads into a brooding, dark, full-bodied palate, with notes of bramble, tar and earth joining the plum fruit, warming up significantly on the finish, but not falling prey to tannins.

Light, slightly hazy crimson-purple; no more than medium-bodied, with spicy/savoury overtones and good length to the red fruit flavours

Brilliant light purple-red; lovely grenache, succulent and round, with spice and raspberry flavours; fine tannins, long finish.

Vivid purple-red; fragrant raspberry and cherry bouquet; excellent flavour and structure; an exciting modern style of grenache.

    winemaker's notes

A dark red brooding beauty with its characteristic ripe raspberry aromas coupled with a clean earthiness on the palate and a swag of tannin. A big, well balanced wine, regardless of the high alcohol.
