Top notch nebbiolo out of Piedmonte can get up there in price, so if you haven’t tried it yet, this is a good place to start. It's a medium-bodied, fragrant wine that shows spicy red and dark berries on the nose, along with rose florals and a touch of earthy tarmac. The palate is quite elegant, with a solid but approachable line of tannins, a generous lick of toasty oak, and a cherry and savoury finish. Try it with duck, or a lamb hotpot.
