    expert reviews

    James Halliday (2012 Vintage) says
A relaxed and welcoming wine with a mix of gently spicy black and red fruits on the bouquet and light to medium-bodied palate; has good length bequeathed by the vintage.

    Huon Hooke (2012 Vintage) says
Deep red colour with a purple rim. The bouquet is earthy, woodsy and slightly spicy, and there's a trace of licorice among the lush blackberry and plum flavours on palate. This is a finely textured and quite elegant wine, with attractive balance and seamless tannins.

    winemaker's notes

Dirt to glass: As a phrase, ‘dirt to bottle’ may lack the romance of typical ‘winespeak’, but it has a compelling purpose to it – to tell the story of a particular wine, and the passage that it has taken from the vine to the bottle. We hope you enjoy your journey with our wines.

Tasting Note: If the famously ‘generous’ character of the Barossa is unknown to you, then this is a wine that makes the case perfectly: bright, ripe, raspberry-pip richness, with a smart lick of oak for the ride. Instantly delicious!

Flavour Match: This wine is fresh and bright enough to match with anything you care put up, even a rich fish like salmon or ocean trout, particularly if served a little chilled/off room-temperature (15 minutes in a fridge).
