This Shiraz is a prime example of the little-known goodies that come from 'The Flinders' too. Sourced from a plot near the Wirrabara Forest - home to the 400 year old King Tree - this meaty Shiraz benefits from the warm days and cool nights (similar to the Clare Valley in climate) to deliver a big plummy red with dark berry flavours and serious tannins.
It's delicious, full flavoured stuff - from one of the best ever vintages in the Flinders Ranges.
A full-bodied and concentrated wine from Wirrabara Forest in the Southern Flinders Ranges. The grapes are growing at a higher altitude which gives colder nights, longer growing seasons and more nuanced flavours. Serve slightly below room temperature, around 18•C, with heavy meat dishes, preferably grilled.
Aroma: Red ripe berries, dark fruit, sweet licorice and cloves.
Palate: The palate is round, full-bodied and balanced with ripe red berries, dark fruit, sweet licorice and spicy oak notes.
