2013 Cervoles Colors Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Made from a blend of 75% Macabeo and 25% Chardonnay, this complex and impressive white spent 5 months maturing on lees. The result is a multi-layered white wine that couples the peach and nectarine of Chardonnay with the more neutral citrus of Macabeo. Clever, highly textural white wine.

Winemaker's Notes

Pale straw-yellow with greenish highlights and dense legs. Intense aromas of tropical fruits like pineapple and mango, alongside notes of tart white-fleshed fruit such as Granny Smith apples.

Aeration reveals a touch of yeast and the citrus hint of lemon peel. Sweet, voluminous mouth-feel, voluptuous on the palate with a refreshing acidity. Very long, balanced finish with hints of pear and lemon.
