2013 Henschke Lenswood Giles Pinot Noir

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

From a cracking vintage comes this lush, juicy pinot noir out of the Adelaide Hills from Aussie icons, Henschke. Smells of red berries and cherries jump out of the glass, along with soft spices and dairy. The palate is medium-bodied, rich and ripe, with red fruit flavours, a lick of dried herbs, sandy tannins, and a smooth, silky finish. Excellent with a mushroom risotto, or duck.

Winemaker's Notes

Cherry red with garnet hues. The complex nose shows lifted aromas of black cherries, raspberries and cream, wild berries and herbaceous forest floor nuances with hints of rose-petal florals, cedar and clove spice. The stylish palate begins with sweet strawberry and wild berry fruits, which continue through layers of texture and balanced acidity, supported by elegant minerality and silky tannins for a beautifully long finish.
