Cracka Review

The production of the 2013 Lansdowne Adelaide Hills Chardonnay sits at less than 100 cases - making it a properly boutique wine. From the fantastic 2013 Adelaide Hills vintage and now sitting pretty with four years in the bottle, the handpicked and whole bunch pressed Chardonnay is drinking like a dream now - but has the balance and structure to continue developing for years to come.

Powerful but precise, this is a flavour packed punch of fresh citrus, nectarine, nougat and tongue tingling spice. The attention, expertise and excellent terroir are poignantly present here - this is quite clearly a phenomenal buy and one of the best Chardonnay bargains this year.

Winemaker's Notes

Adelaide Hills cool-climate classic Chardonnay.

Hand-picked from the rich black alluvial soils of Forreston Valley. Whole bunch pressed and aged in French oak barriques sur lie for 240 days & nights — delicately battonaged. This minimal intervention single vineyard wine will develop further complexity with cellaring.

Alc/vol: 13.0%
