Hailing from some of the greatest vineyards in the 'Vale' and in a vintage the winemakers described as "low yielding, resulting in exceptional wines with great intensity" comes this smashing mystery shiraz. The last vintage was 95 Points Halliday, this vintage is 94 points Halliday and at the full RRP of $40 this represents great value however, at the Mystery price, it's a bit ridiculous! if you like your reds South Australian, pointed and full-bodied do yourself a favour, grab a case.
Vintage: The conditions throughout summer in McLaren Vale were ideal for highlighting the sensational quality this wine region is capable of producing. The 2013 vintage was low yielding, resulting in exceptional wines with great intensity. Nose: The nose offers elegant aromas of cherries, raspberries, violets and dark chocolate with hints of black pepper. Palate: The palate is complex with aromas of dark plums, black cherries, violets and black forest cake. This is a rounded and balanced wine with structure and powdery, rich tannins from the French oak.
