2013 Mystery 95 Point Single Vineyard Barossa Shiraz

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

An incredible wine this is, with Halliday awarding 95 points and calling it a 'great illustration of... terroir.' James Suckling also loved it, awarding it 92 points and commenting that the 'superb vineyard' beginnings had produced a wine 'rich' with characters of 'black plums and berry fruits, underscored with spices, vanillin, black liquorice, earth and dark chocolate.'

The source winery for this glorious 2013 Mystery 95 Point Single Vineyard Barossa Shiraz have been firmly nestled in the Barossa for over 100 years - a Barossan institution, and a producer that has perfected how to make rich reds that have effortlessly gained serious cult followings.

The most wonderful thing about this wine is not looking at the schmancy label from the famous winery, it's drinking it! Smoky black fruit, charred spice, slinky mouth feel and liquorice tannins. Perfectly balanced. Hello hedonism.

Winemaker's Notes

This wine is from a single vineyard in northern Barossa, showing typical Barossan vibrant dark fruits with a hint of chocolate.
