2013 Pirramimma Stocks Hill Cabernet Sauvignon

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Here's a wine for lovers of rich, red wines that is full of that McLaren Vale chocolatey goodness at a value price! Aromas of cassis, fleshy plums, hints of mint and toastiness decorate the nose, whilst the palate is more fuller-bodied and plush with a decadent centre of dark berries, mint sneaking in the back door, a generous lick of toast & chocolate, firmish tannins and a relatively smooth finish. Needs some roasted red meats for company.

Winemaker's Notes

This late ripening variety benefited from the long cool summer, which enhanced optimum varietal character. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a bouquet of black briary fruit, cherry, spicy plum with hints of cigar box and violets, with the palate delivering ripe blackcurrant, morello cherry, red capsicum and chocolate notes complemented by hints of mint and cedar.

A rich firmly structured wine with fruit, oak and tannins in harmony.

Drink now or until 2020 under right cellaring conditions.

Alc/vol: 14.5%
