This a thick, rich and decadent Barossa Cabernet. A seriously dark, muscular red with 14.5% alcohol and ripe, full flavours. In other words, it's a chunky South Australian Cabernet, sourced from prime vineyards and deliberately built for ageing. Speaking of ageing, this red is now in its prime, with five years maturation rounding off the harsh edges nicely.
Winery: Each year John Pratt selects specific parcels of premium fruit from the best vineyards of the Barossa. The fruit only qualifies for inclusion if he is inspired by the generous and rich fruit flavours that will result in the creation of a wine with a characteristic Australian style.
