Cracka Review

This rich little number out of Central Otago is certainly in a more sumptuous rather than steely style. However, it still has some grace with subtle smells of ripe pears, stone fruits and blanched almonds on the nose, with a hint of lemon rind. The palate is medium-bodied and dry, with more pear and citrus flavours, a talcy texture, bright acidity, and a refreshing, juicy finish that will see it match well with some lightly-fried squid.

Winemaker's Notes

Pale straw with pale hues. Aromas of pear and apples on the nose with hints of lime and florals. Sweet pear, apples and peach flavours show on the palate with some spice and ginger. A dry style wine which is medium bodied and has a rounded, textural mouth feel; a balanced acidity and a long finish.

2013 Three Miners Central Otago Pinot Gris

Expert Reviews

Michael Cooper (2010 Vintage) says
From the Earnscleugh Valley, the 2010 vintage is a mouthfilling wine with good depth of fresh, citrusy, gently spicy flavours, balanced acidity and a fully dry finish. It should drink well over the next couple of years.
