2014 Antinori Santa Cristina

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

The Santa Christina fits nicely into the 'modern' Chianti Classico style, which translates into a red blend of Sangiovese with lesser proportions of Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah in the mix. The intention is to make a brighter and richer style of red with a more modern feel than the 'classic' Chianti form. Here it has made for a genuinely attractive red that couples savoury Sangiovese earthy goodness with that extra juiciness of the French Cabernet Merlot and Syrah interlopers. Attractive wine indeed.

Winemaker's Notes

The wine, red in colour with purple highlights, shows an intense and complex nose of ripe red fruit along with balsamic notes of eucalyptus and mint. Full and supple on the palate, it is a wine of much drinking pleasure with a fruity finish and aftertaste.

Alc/Vol: 12.5%
