Wondering what a ligador is? It's a master cigar blender, apparently, and judging by the tobacco leaf characters in the wine, it's well named. Of course, it's not all tobacco, there's plenty of red and blue fruits, a touch of mintiness and sweet cedar in the mix. The palate is medium-bodied and quite juicy, with fine approachable tannins and a lick of savoury earthiness on the finish. A decent everyday wine that would be great with a steak sandwich.
Lifted aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and mint continue on the palate where red fruit characters and fine-knit tannins create structure and elegance. Complex and balanced, this wine is rich yet elegant with tremendous length of flavour.
