2014 Quails Run Pinot Noir

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

It's back! Three long years have passed since we last had a Quails Run Central Otago Pinot Noir here at Cracka HQ and boy are we glad to see it return!

That delicious bright red fruit that had wooed us back in 2013 is there again, with this delicious Central Otago Pinot showing that perfect combination of fruit generosity and some fine, elegant tannins.

Made by a boutique producer in the Pisa range, this beautifully bright red is just the ticket for anyone who likes classic Pinot.

Actually, our only gripe is that the quail picture on the label isn't as cool as it used to be. We want more quailly detail dammit! Thankfully the delicious juice in the bottle more than makes up for it.

Central Otago Pinot this good for such a good price? Oh yes, we're glad to have the Quail back!

Winemaker's Notes

With aromas of red cherries, star anise and subtle char, this fruit-ripe red berry and cherry palate, finishes with milk chocolate and nutmeg into a savoury, but soft finish, with long, supple tannins.
