2014 Single Step Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine education is all about small steps, you find a style you like and drink it for a while then take up something new. If you are a Shiraz drinker can we suggest you take a step towards Cabernet because this noble grape often gets overlooked. This is concentrated and complex and would go really well with lamb. There’s a core of black fruits with hints of oak before a full-bodied palate with herbal nuances before a textured and well-balanced red with a harmony between fruit, tannins and acids.
Red-purple of medium depth; an elegant and complex wine that shows the characters gained by finishing the fermentation in oak (American and French); it has very good cassis and briar flavours, the tannins soft and lingering. Its balance should ensure a long life.
