This wild NZ interloper is a trick-free chardonnay. There's nothing too fancy, just pure fruit with only a small amount of oak. Vibrant, ripe orchard fruits adorn the nose, with just a smidgen of florals, before the palate lets rip with a creamy mouthfeel, a stone fruit centre and citrus acidity. It's lush and lively, and would match well with a nice piece of grilled fish.
This Chardonnay epitomises all the things good about New Zealand. Ripe peach, apricot and hints of citrus blossom lure you in to world of delicious stonefruit flavours surrounded by toasty oak. Citrusy acidity, lovely length and an elegant finish all combine to deliver a great easy drinking wine that would make a superb partner to any fish dish.
