Cracka Review

This comes to us from the stunning Porongurup region, just north of Albany in southern W.A. Evans & Tate are one of many producers who can see the potential for Porongurup Pinot, and they've rolled out the winemaking A-game for this wine. That means handpicked fruit, a portion of whole bunches in the ferment, maturation in larger oak then bottling unfined and unfiltered.

In other words, superstar wine handling, helping to produce one of the best West Australian Pinots that we've had at Cracka. It combines the meaty, spicy heartiness of Great Southern Pinot Noir, with chunky blackberry fruit and firm tannins. Lots of flavour!

Winemaker's Notes

A beautifully elegant and refined Pinot Noir from the cool Porongurup climate showing pretty yet concentrated wild cherry and raspberry fruits supported by savoury, earthy, spicy flavours and finishing with velvet fine-grained tannins.

A refined Western Australian Pinot Noir that will match perfectly with duck pancakes.

Alc/vol: 13.5%
