2015 Atura Valley Marlborough Pinot Gris

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

The Atura Valley Pinot Gris is a delicious little white. Hailing from sunny Marlborough, it's a snappy beast, with plenty of crisp acidity and a lick of tropical fruit for good measure.

What's great here is that is balances out juicy fruit with plenty of natural acidity, the combination making for a deliciously refreshing white wine that just says 'I need the biggest glass you've got'.

Winemaker's Notes

A straw colour compliments the intense pear aromas with peach and melon notes. A wonderfully textured palate with sweet rounded ripe stone fruit flavours and a touch of spice; Atura Pinot Gris is a very versatile wine, that complements various cuisines.

Located in New Zealand in the north east of the South Island. It's best known for its dry climate and Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir wines. Worldwide interest in Marlborough wines, particularly Sauvignon Blanc, has continued to fuel the region wine boom. The region currently has 23,600 hectares of land planted with planted grapes. These plantings are primarily located within the Wairau Valley.
