2015 Bleeding Heart Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Super fresh and crackingly aromatic, this is terrific value at under $15. The Adelaide Hills grassiness is there, with stonefruit and citrus coming through strong in the mid palate. The acid is well balanced, and not overpowering at all, which some of these wines, can sometimes tend to be. A perfect match for salads and freshly grilled seafood dishes.

Winemaker's Notes

Due to previous conditions 2015 was always set up to be a low yielding vintage but spring frosts certainly didn’t help. After good winter rains, the summer was relatively dry and close water management was required. What really set up the vintage was a cool January with rain at just the right time to freshen up the vines. The resulting fruit is outstanding with delicate flavours and truly lovely natural acidity

Sourced from established vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. The sheltered aspect and cold Autumn nights, courtesy of these higher altitude sites, combine to ensure the retention of natural acidity in the elegant fruit harvested.

Very fresh and aromatic with delicate aromas of citrus and stone fruits overlaid by notes of freshly mown grass. A burst of citrus and tropical fruits is matched by thrilling mineral acidity softened by a generous mouthfeel
