2015 Chateau de Beaumel Cuvee Diamant Cote de Provence Rose
Cracka Value Rating
The 2015 Chateau de Beaumel Cuvee Diamant Cote de Provence Rose comes from Provence, which is the spiritual home of Rosé in southern France. What sets apart the Rosé from this part of the world is history and competition, with so many producers taking pink wines seriously - and for such a long time - that greatness is almost assured.
This Chateau de Beaumel represents the very top of the Provence Rosé quality tree. Crafted from the classic blend of Grenache and Cinsault, the 2015 vintage exudes red berries, white peach and floral aromas leading to a mineral and crisp citrus palate. Pink grapefruit and orange peel undertones support a dry and more-ish finish.
This is the first time that this flagship wine has been released in Australia and this 'Diamant' label represents the finest wine that this estate can produce.
This 2015 vintage of the “Cuvee Diamant” - the flagship wine of the estate - is steeped in the Grand tradition of Roses from Provence with red berry and white floral aromas that lead to a mineral and crisp citrus palate. Pink grapefruit and orange peel undertones result in a dry and more-ish finish.
Assembly: The marriage of Grenache (60%) and Cinsault (40%).
Winemaking: Direct pressing with a slight film maceration. Delicate ageing on fine lees in tanks.
The tasting: The Château de Beaumel is part of the great tradition of the Rosés of Provence with this Cuvée with a salmon pink dress with a beautiful shine and a nose of flowers and pink grapefruit. Supple and fresh, its mouth delights you with a pleasant finish on notes of citrus. To be tasted at 9 or 10°C with a grilled fish, a carpaccio of beef or an exotic dish.
