Lots of citrus, passionfruit and a whiff of grassy herbaceousness. Here, we're talking about very serious Yarra Valley Sauv Blanc made by an ex-winemaking lecturer, with flavour intensity turned up to high.
Tasting Notes: Made from grapes sourced from 3 vineyards in the Yarra Valley gives a range of flavours and good acidity to this wine. Honeydew melon and passionfruit on the nose and palate lead to a crisp lime zest finish. Palate weight and complexity are enhanced by the use of barrel fermentation and partial malolactic fermentation. Blending with 3% of aged reserve wines also contributes to the drinkability of this wine.
