2015 De Bortoli La Bossa Yarra Valley Pinot Grigio

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Here is yet another good value, no-nonsense wine from De Bortoli. It's light and delicate showing aromas of subtle citrus, apples and slight candy floss on the nose. The palate is nimble, gentle, rounded and thirst quenching with a green apple finish. It would go down well at the family BBQ with salads and quiche.

Winemaker's Notes

Fresh early January rains prepared vines for what was to be a mild & then dry Riverina vintage. The cooler temps allowed for great depth in pungent fruit aromas and allowed the retention of natural acid in most varieties. Quality is well above average.

Appearance: Pale straw.

Bouquet: White stone fruit and almonds.

Palate: Crunchy pear offers a mid-palate balance and a clean finish.

Cellaring: Best enjoyed fresh or up to two years.

Food match: These lighter style whites have a touch of zest and herbaceous characters, they match well with:
Cooked seafood - seafood pastas and salads; grilled prawns; fish and chips; scallops
Vegetables - roast pumpkin with goats cheese; stuffed capsicum; vegetarian pastas

Alc/vol: 11.50%
