De Bortoli have an impressive reputation for Chardonnay, with a spread of wines that spans everything from cheap and cheerful right through to super premium, mega Chardies! De Bortoli and Chardonnay are as synonymous with each other as summer and cricket, like winter and footy season, like tequila and hangovers.
De Borts, (as we like to call them around the office) are one of the finest proponents of Chardonnay, not just in Australia, but in the world. This little beauty is no different. Drink young and fresh, its cracking stuff with varying types of fish dishes, salads, and spice driven foods. It's a little number put together just for us, with its juicy peachy fruit and crisp acidity just screaming sunshine in a glass! A whole lotta Chardonnay flavour, all for a low price, we can't deny the appeal of this simple and vibrant little number.
Located in Victoria, approximately 90 kilometres east of Melbourne. The area's relatively cool climate makes it particularly suited to the production of high-quality Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sparkling and more equated with a Burgundy style climate.
Peach and melon notes carried on a creamy texture, fresh acidity and some mineral grip on the finish.
