2015 Langmeil The Long Mile Shiraz

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Langmeil means 'long mile' in German, with the winery given this name as it was a rather slow, mile-long walk from the closest township for the early Barossan settlers. Fittingly, this is a very Barossan red - loads of ripe fruit, sweet oak and chunky flavours. You almost need a cool Barossan last name like 'Schulz' to drink it.

Winemaker's Notes

Colour: Medium to deep crimson with purple hues

Aroma: A rich aroma of Satsuma Plum and Mulberry fruits, mingle with savoury and roasty notes and hints of herbs, white pepper and earthiness

Palate: Bright, juicy fruit flows over the tongue giving a lovely full palate yet medium body. Lightly peppered and briary spice add to the complexity, with savoury tones and silky tannins flowing onto the fruitful and slightly spicy finish

Cellaring: 2016 - 2023

Alc/vol: 14.5%
