2015 Morgan's Sauvignon Blanc
The fruit for this wine was picked in the middle of the night, right at the cusp of its peak fruit flavour. Using an aromatic yeast strain, the wine was fermented in stainless steel, allowing the fresh tropical and herbaceous characters, to show through. This wine also spent a small amount of time on lees. The wine was lightly fined, stabilised, and filtered, and bottled for early release, to maintain the wine’s vibrancy, and acidity.
Appearance: Pale straw green
Nose: Fresh and vibrant on the nose with an aromatic fusion of zesty gooseberry, lime and grapefruit with subtle tropical notes. A hint of bell pepper, dried herbs and restrained grassiness precede a lively palate
Palate:The palate is crisp and fresh with gooseberry, citrus, and a crunchy green apple acidity. This liveliness is balanced with soft tropical fruits and passionfruit flavours, hints of fresh herbs, and a lingering citrus finish
Food: Fresh Port Macdonnell Crayfish
