The Pizzinis' know what works when it comes to Italian varietals but here they are doing their bit for cross-cultural relations by blending their beloved Sangio with Australia’s favourite - Shiraz. This approachable blend is just the kind of thing you want for pizza night with its bold signature of cherries, plum and spice as well as notes of coffee and rhubarb. It’s got a juicy, approachable palate with flavours of cherry and plum before clean acids and really good length.
This wine has nice drinkability. The nose has lifted exotic spice and bright brambly red fruits (cherries and wild raspberries) with savoury undertones. The palate is soft, juicy and fleshy with flavours of cherry and plum. Soft, chalky tannins provide a lingering finish.
