The Jimmy Watson trophy is (arguably) the most important piece of silverware in Australian wine - and this humble red almost took it out in 2014. This supremely tasty Barossan red is just bursting with delicious juicy fruit with soft tannins to finish. Try this approachable red blend with Thai beef mussaman curry or a Tandoori chicken.
The Gamekeeper's Shiraz Grenache Touriga is packed with juicy, bright fruit with a touch of spice. The spicy pepper of the Shiraz and the generous, gamey, raspberry flavours of Grenache finish with soft yet assertive tannins. The tiny proportion of Touriga Nacional in the mix gives it a floral and spice finish. A very food friendly wine, it interplays rather than dominates.
A seamless integration highlighting the best attributes from each variety in this red blend. A spectrum of capsicum, weight and tannin from the Shiraz combines with the generous juicy raspberry flavours the Grenache provides, along with rose petal and floral-like spice compliments of the Touriga Nacional. Shiraz (50%) Grenache (41%) and Touriga Nacional (9%).
