2015 Stonier Pinot Noir Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

Long have we admired the Stonier touch when it comes to Pinot Noir. We are suckers for the Mornington style, with its fruit rich seduction, and swooned at this latest release. It’s perfumed elegantly with cherry and red fruits as well as some captivating florals before a palate that’s vibrant with red fruit and some earthy notes. It’s soft with nicely weighted tannins, a clean acid backbone and persistent length. Pinot lovers will embrace this style as it’s why you fell in love with the variety in the first place.

Winemaker's Notes

Stonier Pinot Noir is sourced from a select group of hand tended vineyards located amongst the rolling hills of the Mornington Peninsula. The Peninsula’s unique geography and cool maritime conditions contribute to a highly distinctive expression of Pinot Noir, typically showing flavours of vibrant cherry to savoury plum within a fine tannin structure.
