2015 Twin Islands Sauvignon Blanc

Cracka Rating

Cracka Review

The Twin Islands wines are made by renowned Marlborough producer Nautilus Estate, who not only make excellent wines but really do embrace the Nautilus shells all around the winery - there is shells everywhere you look. This Sauv is a pretty classic wine too - all crisp snappy fruit and loads of acidity.

Winemaker's Notes

Twin Islands Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015 is pale straw in colour. Its lively fragrance combines passionfruit, blackcurrant bud and fresh herbs. The palate is crisp and intense showing citrus flavours with hints of fresh coriander which lead to a mouth-watering and zesty finish. Drink regularly over the next 18 months.

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2012 Vintage) says
Straightforward, bright lime and passionfruit citrus on the nose; this ticks all the boxes neatly. The palate delivers a sweet ball of tropical fruit, melon and passionfruit here, soft and simple.

Nick Stock (2011 Vintage) says
A slightly muffled nose here - this wants for clarity and freshness. Basic tropical fruits, some herbs and plenty of grassy vegetal notes. The palate's tart and lean, with light tropicals only; this is well off the pace.
