Cracka Review

I am loving this for all its grassy, intense fruit flavour, finishing long and strong. Made to match with a bucket of prawns.

Winemaker's Notes

The blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon is one of the classic Margaret River wine styles.

The Sauvignon Blanc in this wine displays tropical fruit and citrus aromas which are complemented by the grassy nuances of Semillon.

On the palate, the wine is fresh and vibrant showing passionfruit characters with a crisp lingering finish.

Wine Companion (2015 Vintage) says
Terrific follow-up to the '14. Pristine, mouth-watering style but by no means personality-less. It feels cool and racy with passionfruit and snow pea characters but when grapefruit pulp flavour swings into the back palate, the drama really begins.

A clean, fresh, vibrant and punchy drink-early example of this classic blend, showing vitality and energy.

For a modestly prices white wine this cracking little beauty delivers and then some. Beaut combination of grassiness and citrus to set up both the attractive aroma profile and the well balanced flavoursome palate. Lots of drinking appeals here over the next couple of years while it retains all that youthful exuberance.

Perfect example of the style with some punchy sauvignon blanc merging with the edgier semillon. It's flavoursome with a mix of citrus and creamy melon overlaying lots of tropical fruit characters. A wine best drunk in the shorter term while those fruit flavours are so intense.

Tyson Stelzer (2010 Vintage) says
A fresh lemon, lime, cut grass, gooseberry and passionfruit style with lots of varietal power and good length, finding balance of the finish thanks to zesty acidity.
James Halliday (2009 Vintage) says
A lively and fragrant bouquet leads into a palate which gains pace and intensity from the midpoint to the finish and aftertaste, with an array of citrus, passionfruit and grass notes, the aftertaste lingering.
Ray Jordan (2009 Vintage) says
A delightfully fresh and juicy blend with the fine and intense tropical fruit spruced up with a little squeeze of lime juice. Mouth feel given some texture with a period of lees influence. Nice current drinking wine.

Easy style, with gooseberry and passionfruit leading the way, and a touch of herb from the semillon.

This is a lovely fresh current drinking blend. Loaded with passionfruit and light grassy characters. The palate has a real zing to it with a fine, delicate acidity, sustaining a long finish. Ideal aperitif or Sunday arvo quaffing.

James Halliday (2006 Vintage) says
Bounteous flavour starting with tropical/gooseberry moving (slightly unusually) into stone fruit; easy, drink now style.
