Cracka Review

No oak, just pure fruit is the theme with this bright and frisky number from Wirra Wirra. Stone fruits and lemons adorn the nose, whilst the palate is light, vibrant and crunchy, with a ripe peachy centre, zippy acidity, and a refreshing, lip-smacking finish. Just the thing for those unexpected guests.

Winemaker's Notes

Pale straw with light green hues. Youthful vibrant nose of lemon zest and white peach flesh with complexing notes of cinnamon, clove spice and citrus blossom. Juicy sweet peach and pear stone fruits flood the palate while lemon and grapefruit support the richer flavours of the stone fruit. Balanced, bright acid supports the fruit resulting in a relaxed juicy palate complimenting the aromatics.

It’s more exotic than you’d expect and it’s got ample texture and palate weight to pull off this no-woody style. When you’ve got fruit of this quality, you don’t need wood to make it work – and this is the fundamental thing lacking in virtually all other pretenders to this style.
