Cracka Review

Yalumba strike again with this value riesling that has a kiss of sweetness. Lemons, limes and pineapples rise from the glass, along with hints of stone fruits. The palate is light-bodied, smooth and gentle, with juicy citrusy flavours, friendly acidity, a talcy texture, and a fresh, softish finish that will satisfy the fussiest palate.

Winemaker's Notes

Delicate orange blossom and citrus aromas perfectly complement juicy golden apple and fresh pineapple flavours. This pure, vibrant white wine proves that the simple things in life are often the best.

Enjoy with salt and pepper squid. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

2015 Yalumba Y Series Riesling

Expert Reviews

Huon Hooke (2016 Vintage) says
Light, bright yellow-green hue and an ultra-fresh, vibrant, ripe and accessible bouquet - pleasingly upfront and intense, floral and classic. The palate is intense and refined, powerful and delicate at the same time. The finish is long and dry with a lip-smacking trace of grip adding to its authority. Amazing value for money.

This is a delightful, fresh, clean, youthful Riesling of good intensity, with lively lemon citrus flavours, that finishes dry and zesty.

This is one heck of a good riesling for the money - it's hard to see any other white wine made at this level of quality delivered at this bargain price point. If you're not sure, take a punt - this has a wealth of fruit flavours, from white peach to citrus, delivered as a smooth, soft and crisp style.

Zesty, limey palate; concentrated and powerful but not coarse; passionfruit and grapefruit.

Another delicious riesling from the production line pumping them out at Yalumba. This is yet another example of why riesling just keeps getting the accolades. Here is a wine that is fresh, bright, vibrant, a little bit citrussy, a little bit softÑI mean really, must I go on? This is white wine that makes you smile knowing that you have bought a case of the stuff at well under S10 a bottleÑclever, clever you.
