2016 Dal Zotto Pinot Grigio

Expert Reviews

Nick Stock (2012 Vintage) says
A neat and fresh grigio from the King Valley, where it has a happy home, delivering all the freshness and verve seen here, with gently savoury almonds and pears, waxy too. The palate s lithe and juicy, with plenty of apple and pear fruit flavour, crunchy acid and hints of lemon to close.

Elegant, fine and restrained, with a lightly floral bouquet of pear, apple and white flowers revealing a hint of citrus oil. It's long and juicy, with an evenly ripened, complex and waxy palate whose mouthfilling flavours of apple, pear and peach are backed by creamy, nutty undertones, finishing with a fresh, limey acidity.

Long and shapely, this austere and focused grigio has a vibrant bouquet of lemon blossom, cloves and cinnamon, plus a vibrant, juicy palate whose bright presence of tangy. citrusy fruit is underpinned by a fine chalkiness and a hint of mineral. It finishes with a fresh, brittle acidity.

An authentic mix of grassy characters, pears, dried straw and nutty notes. This is a flavoursome grigio with enough oomph to get by on the dining table, yet fresh enough to simply drink and enjoy. Candied pear finish.

James Halliday (2008 Vintage) says
A strong savoury straw component works well with a touch of lemon and pear; the palate has good weight and texture, and the finish is dry and savoury.

Light blossom aromas; a cunningly balanced palate with just a touch of sweetness to add proportion and length.

James Halliday (2004 Vintage) says
Pear, spice and talc aromas; tangy palate; citrus and pear; good length.
